Well, it’s that time again ladies! Fall is here with its cool crisp mornings and earlier sunsets (and we cannot forget Pumpkin Spiced Lattes). What better way to enjoy this season than with a faux fur accessory. Anyone who knows me knows I’m completely gaga for faux fur (as seen here) and it seems that this year is no exception. I can’t wait to add a few more faux fur pieces to my collection. Once little Baby makes his grand entrance I’ll be rocking a faux fur vest or jacket with wide leg jeans and a platform bootie. Too much with a little one? Who cares, it’s going to be MAH-JOR! Here are a few cool picks that I’ve found and I think you will agree that they are completely fabulous.

Last week New York Fashion Week was in full swing previewing looks for Spring 2012. I’m such a sucker for fashion and always feel the need to scour the internet for all the designers’ look-books and photos from the runway. I like to keep tabs on my favorite items. This always makes Spring/Summer shopping so easy as I already know what I’m going to be rocking. Here are just a few of the looks I immediately fell in love with and will need to be added to my closet: soft floral pieces, anything white, feminine suiting and updated maxi dresses.

With the summer days coming to a close I get a little nostalgic knowing that winter and gloom will last the majority of the year here in Western Washington. On the bright side of things, my ultimate guilty pleasure has returned and I couldn’t be more excited! I’m not 100% proud to say that this guilty pleasure is tired to watching TV, as I like to be active and choose activities that actually stimulate learning and growth but everyone has to have one weakness, right?!? With that said, I absolutely heart The Rachel Zoe Project on Bravo TV and Tuesday nights can’t seem to come fast enough.
Anyone who knows me would totally understand my obsession with Zoe. She’s successful, business savvy, has and impeccable eye for fashion and to top it off she recently had a baby (a little boy, see any similarities, wink, wink) . These are just a few of the things I use to justify my weakness to my uber-smart husband (who checks CNN.com every morning because he feels it is VERY important to be informed on worldly events and would probably link fashion and reality TV in the gossip column, boo). I am proud to say that I don’t have many guilty pleasures that draw me to our TV but everyone has a weakness or two and this just happens to be mine.
I know many of you out there share the same affinity for reality TV, so check out Zoe and enjoy it to its fullest. What’s life without a little fun or fashion for that matter? Guilt on all my fashionista friends and have a wonderful week.

Being pregnant has opened my eyes to a whole new world of fashion. Unfortunately, that world does not give me access to Victoria Beckham’s closet. Not only does my back hurt doing basic things like putting pants on one leg at a time, it also makes finding pants that actually fit quite difficult. I’ve been very blessed to have an extraordinarily healthy pregnancy and not gain weight too quickly. This has been both good and bad. It has taken almost seven months for me to fit into maternity clothes (which makes me feel great) but on the flip side, my regular clothes are definitely not as flattering as they once were.
I wanted to share some clothing tips and purchases that I have really loved throughout my pregnancy and personally couldn’t live without. Here are a few investments I would recommend to anyone who is pregnant or planning on getting pregnant. 1. Leggings are a pregnant gals best friend. Make sure to invest in a good thick pair, they will last much longer. 2. Purchase a few body hugging tanks and tees. Even though your belly is growing and you may feel as big as a house, a good quality tank/tee will hold up, look sharp and go with everything. 3. Sundresses will become your best friend if you are pregnant in the summer. I have been able to find cute sun dresses both long and short at places like H&M, Forever 21, Target, Macy’s and Nordstrom that have been affordable and make me feel very stylist. 4. Lastly, I recommend investing in one good pair of Jeans. I recently purchased a paid or Paige jeans that are a slim boot cut, dark wash with no extra detailing. They cost a little bit more but go with absolutely everything and make me feel good about myself when my friends want to get together and head out on the town. A Pea in the Pod has been my go-to for maternity fashion thus far. If all else fails when getting dressed you can always turn to stylish accessories. You can rock your bump with a great pair of heels, sunnies and handbag. We may not all be as lucky as Victoria to have our own design label and unlimited funds but with the help of friends and sharing tips we can all look just a hot as her throughout pregnancy.

Last weekend I had the opportunity to check out 2nd Satrudayz Market in Magnuson Park. A few friends of mine were hosting a pop-up boutique to showcase their amazing vintage finds. Tasha Headley and Julianne Johnson are fashionistas with an eye for style. They both have creativeness oozing out of them, which in turn makes for a shoppers dream! There were treasures from Moschino pumps, vintage sunnies, hats, scarves, gloves, 70’s fashions and trendy costume jewelry itching to be taken home and worn.
Tasha and Julianne both have fashion backgrounds and bring their talents to their boutique. They helped me find some items that will likely become heavily rotated in my closet this spring. I took home a red and tan sack dress, a disco inspired silver tank and a darling prairie dress I can’t wait to pair with a jean jacket and wooden wedges. This pare of divas have a bright future in the fashion industry and we are all blessed that they are willing to share with us. I can’t wait so see what treasures they find next.
